These terms cover your use of blackoutmedia.org. Using the site means you accept them. They are not a contract for coverage — that is a separate agreement, in writing, between you and us.
This website shows our work, publishes our articles and galleries, and lets you ask us about covering an event. It is informational. Nothing here is an offer, a quote, or a commitment to shoot anything.
Sending the form starts a conversation. It does not book a date, reserve a shooter, or create any obligation on either side. A booking exists only when we have agreed it directly — scope, date and price — and confirmed it to you.

Every photograph, video, article and design on this site is owned by Blackout Media or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. Our name, logo and visual identity are ours.
You may view this site, and share links to it. You may not copy, republish, resell, crop out our credit, or use our images commercially — including in advertising, merchandise or training a model — without written permission. Ask us; the answer is often yes.
If you are an athlete, organizer or venue and want to use an image of your own event, write to us. That is a normal request and we handle it quickly.
We photograph public sporting events. If you appear in an image on this site and want it removed, email [email protected] and tell us which one. We will take it down. You do not need to give a reason.
We link to other sites — event pages, organizers, social profiles. We do not control them and we are not responsible for what they do or say.
We keep this site running and accurate as best we can, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or current. Event dates change, galleries move, links break. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blackout Media is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
This section is about the website. Liability for coverage work we are actually hired to do is set by the agreement covering that work, not by this page.
What we do with information you send is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the update.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
